About the Artist
Kelsi Adams is an artist, designer, wife and mother. Raised in northwest Florida, she attended Pensacola State College and earned her A.S. in Graphic Design in 2015. Kelsi’s artistic journey however, began in 2010 in a concert photo pit in North Carolina. She fell in love with the challenge of capturing the theatrics of the show, and like all of the things that go into putting on a great show, she uses her experiences in photography and design to create a unique esthetic of storytelling through her artwork.
Inspired by our history as a species, our mythologies and fairytales, and most of all our achievements as mankind, I dedicate my work to the tiny moments of invincibility of the human spirit. I use the ancient art form of storytelling with the modern tools of photography to create unique and theatrical landscapes and characters out of real world objects and people. My interpretations of the best of the human spirit are personal statements made to stimulate and inspire the emotions of independence, defiance and freedom, while commenting on the relationship we have with the world around us.
